About Poolside
Poolside is an AI company focused exclusively on building the world's best AI for software engineering. Using reinforcement learning from code execution (not just human feedback), Poolside trains models that understand software at a deep level. Its Malibu and Point models are available via API and are designed for agentic coding workflows, with Fortune 500 and developer-tool company customers.
Company History
Poolside was founded in early 2023 by Jason Warner (former GitHub CTO), Eiso Kant, and Awa Dieng with a thesis that the next frontier in AI is software engineering, and that reinforcement learning from code execution is the path to superhuman coding AI. It raised one of the largest seed rounds in AI history and completed a $500M Series B in 2024 to build out its model training infrastructure and go-to-market.
