Founded 2024 by Vincent Weisser and Johannes Hagemann to democratize AI development through decentralized compute and training. In late 2024 it trained INTELLECT-1, a 10B-parameter model, across globally distributed hardware, followed by INTELLECT-2, a 32B reinforcement-learning model trained on a permissionless distributed network. The company raised a $15M round (2025) led by Founders Fund to expand its compute marketplace and open distributed-training stack.
